Ilyas Abdul Hadi

Ilyas Abdul Hadi was convicted of first-degree murder in November of 2007 and was sentenced to life without parole. Since his incarceration, Ilyas has been a pillar in the prison community, utilizing his experiences, education, and wisdom by facilitating men's groups to help hundreds of individuals turn their lives around. He has completed numerous programs such as Drafting Computer Aided Designing, Violence Prevention, Thinking For A Change, Impact Of Crime, Mentorship, Technical Skills Training, Health & Wellness, Pre-Vocational Training, and the Inmate Apology Bank Program. He has truly turned his own life around. Ilyas is a son, a father, and now a grandfather, and dreams about being there to support and care for his family. Ilyas has pledged to dedicate his life to help uplift and support his community when he is given the opportunity for a second chance. Tyree Wallace

Tyree Wallace was convicted of second-degree murder in 1999 and was sentenced to life without parole. The evidence is clear that Tyree was not involved in this crime and the actual killer was convicted for the murder, served time, and then was released yet, Tyree remains in prison. During his 24 years of unjust incarceration, he became a founder of the MANN UP association, a peer support and empowerment group that does work both inside and outside of SCI-Phoenix. a founder of the Pennsylvania Lifers Association Chapter for inmates serving life sentences at SCI Smithfield, and the founder of Systemic Reformative Change, a policy-focused nonprofit organization that has already raised money to help support low-come based schools in Philadelphia. Brian Parnell

Brian Parnell is currently serving a life sentence in prison for a 1997 murder that he did not commit. He was convicted after a hasty two-day trial rooted in two four-year-old partial fingerprints and despite DNA evidence that excludes Brian. He has always maintained his innocence, fighting tirelessly for his exoneration for 20 years. His case is extremely shocking, and you may feel the same after seeing this video. Omar Hooks is currently serving 35 to life for a murder that occurred in 2010 that he did not commit and he was only 16 years old at the time of the incident. Sheena King is currently serving Life Without Parole in SCI- Muncy after being convicted of murder in 1992, when she was only 18 years old. During her young life, she was victim to multiple abusive relationships and was assaulted many times. She suffered from loss of self-esteem, self-confidence, and sense of self-worth. Over the years, she has turned her life around, increased her education, active in programs both inside and out, and even helps young women who have suffered abuses as she has.
