Giving a Voice to the Voiceless

Many of those serving life without parole in Pennsylvania have taken great strides to becoming inspiring individuals helping all those that they can, both inside and outside of prison. The individuals below are all serving life without parole and have incredible stories to share. Also, they are in desperate need of your help. Please, read their stories and sign their petitions for commutation, so they can have a second chance at life and be highly productive and influential members of our communities.

Omar Hooks is currently serving 35 to life for a murder that occurred in 2010 that he did not commit and he was only 16 years old at the time of the incident. He was charged, tried, and convicted of first degree murder, despite conflicting eyewitness testimonies, a botched investigation, and contradictory ballistics evidence. Omar sits incarcerated to this day, waiting for a legal team that will truly fight on his behalf.Watch this clip, read more and sign his petition for support, and listen to his plea for help.

Sheena King is currently serving Life Without Parole in SCI- Muncy after being convicted of murder in 1992, when she was only 18 years old. During her young life, she was victim to multiple abusive relationships and was assaulted many times. She suffered from loss of self-esteem, self-confidence, and sense of self-worth. Over the years, she has turned her life around, increased her education, active in programs both inside and out, and even helps young women who have suffered abuses as she has.
